Cranes Away
Cranes alive! Cranes
everywhere!
Throughout our skyline.
Part of every sunrise and
sunset.
Hoggin' the fog.
Waitin' for any urinatin'
dog.
The towers swing, the
towers sway.
They lift. They often
drop
What they thought they
got.
Awesome! Gruesome!
Oblivious to traffic
snarls.
Once done, we'll not miss
them.
Recalling maybe
contributions
Toward the city's
growth.
They'll come down and
somewhere
They'll rise again.
Though not promised in any
guideline book.
Yet they keep doin' their
thing.
Despite our "cranes away"
smirky look.
